Groups
Browse companies, workspaces and other accounts, with their properties, people and activity.
Groups are the accounts your events belong to beyond one person, such as a company in a B2B product, a workspace or a team. They let you ask account-level questions: how many companies were active this week? or what share of workspaces finished onboarding?
Send group data with datahop.group(…). See Identify users and groups.
Group pages
Each group type gets its own entry under People, such as Companies or Workspaces. You don't need any setup: the page appears as soon as an event uses that type. It lists every group with its key, its most common properties, and when it was created. Search matches the key or the group's name.
Rename changes how the type is shown, for example Account / Accounts. Your code keeps sending the original name (company).
A group's page
Click a group to open it:
- Stats: people with activity in the group, total events, last seen and created.
- People: the people who were most recently active in it, linked to their profiles.
- Event timeline: every event attached to the group.
- Properties: what you sent with
group()orgroupIdentify().
Click the ★ to pin a key account to your sidebar. The page is useful before a sales call, or when a big customer goes quiet.
People belong to a group because they sent events in it, so one person can appear in several companies over time, like a consultant working with three clients.
